AI services (AI Bundle)

The AI Bundle brings three building blocks into your workflows. In the connection you pick one of four services — Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google) or Mistral AI — and store its API key encrypted like any other credential.

A model can be named; otherwise a suitable default applies per service.

Building blocks

Three building blocks in the AI Bundle

  • File Data ExtractorRead

    Takes a file, a prompt and a target data model, and adds that model's full description to the prompt itself. The answer therefore always comes back in exactly that shape, as a list of records for the next building block.

  • Generate Text ContentWrite

    Fills one or more fields in records of a chosen data model by prompt; the service receives the whole record for it. On request, only fields that are still empty.

  • AI PromptFree request

    The free request every bundle has: a prompt, with a file on request. The answer comes back as text or, if asked for, as structured JSON data.

A record the service could not process is reported separately and does not hold up the rest.

In practice

Two workflows with the AI Bundle

  1. A supplier data sheet becomes a product

    The supplier sends data sheets and price lists as PDF, attached to an email.

    A format no connector exists for runs like any other import from the second step on.

  2. Product description from the properties

    Many articles have properties but no description.

    Existing texts stay untouched; a record that could not be processed is reported separately.

What to know about the AI services

  • PrerequisitesAn account of your own with the chosen service.
    • An account with an API key at Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google) or Mistral AI
    • The key is stored encrypted in ConFlowIO, like any other credential
    • The service bills its usage directly to you, not ConFlowIO
  • Not coveredFor this content, “operations in Germany” does not apply.
    • Prompt, file and, when generating, the whole record go to the chosen service; there, that provider's terms apply
    • If you want a European provider, choose Mistral AI
    • Workflows without an AI building block are not affected
    • Files for extraction up to 15 MB: PDF, images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP) and text files such as CSV, TXT, JSON, XML, HTML and Markdown
  • DurabilityApplies to this integration as to every workflow in ConFlowIO.
    • Failed steps retry themselves
    • Large reads are processed page by page, each page a step of its own
    • A failed run is continued rather than started over
    • Live logs per step, with credentials removed
