SAP S/4HANA

SAP S/4HANA is connected in the cloud as well as in your own data centre, through SAP's released standard APIs. The product master comes out as Commerce Bundle products, with description, GTIN, weight and dimensions — and goes into every shop with the same mapping.

In the other direction, orders are created as sales orders with billing and delivery address; processing state and tracking numbers come back.

  • Read productsRead

    Reads the product master as Commerce Bundle products, in full or only those changed since the last run, with description, GTIN, weight and dimensions.

  • Read stockRead

    Reads unrestricted-use stock, for selected plants and storage locations only if needed. A product without a stock line is skipped rather than reported as zero.

  • Hand over ordersWrite

    Creates orders as sales orders — with billing and delivery address, with the prices paid and shipping costs if needed. Known orders are skipped.

  • Read sales ordersRead

    Reads sales orders back with processing state and tracking numbers, to report the shipment to the shop or marketplace.

  • Cancel sales ordersWrite

    Rejects the sales order in SAP S/4HANA when the order was cancelled in the shop.

In practice

Two workflows with SAP S/4HANA

  1. Product master into the shop

    SAP S/4HANA holds the product master; the shop should show the same state.

    One mapping onto the Commerce Bundle, and the last building block decides which shop is written. A product without a stock line does not report a stock of zero.

  2. Orders as sales orders

    Orders from the shop and marketplaces should end up as sales orders in SAP S/4HANA without manual work.

    1. Triggerthe shop's webhook or a schedule for the marketplaces
    2. Sold-to partya fixed collective customer, an existing customer with the order's e-mail address or an explicitly assigned customer number
    3. Hand overas a sales order, with billing and delivery address
    4. Read backprocessing state and tracking numbers for the shipment report

    No order is re-entered by hand, none is created twice — an order SAP S/4HANA already knows is skipped.
